When I first heard found out about Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen’s shoe line in collaboration with Steven Madden, I initially thought that “Hey, now the ladies will have some affordable shoes to wear” – then the reality set in……we are talking about the Olsen twins here! The collection as a whole features interestingly semi-stylish footwear that dons a serious higher price point than the normal Steve Madden labeled shoe which is usually priced around $69.99 up to $250. According to previous reports the Elizabeth & James footwear collection was to be priced around $195 – $500…..(blank stare). So far, I’ve seen price points of $270 – $325 for a collection of shoes that we’ve probably all seen before in some way, shape or form. I don’t really know what to feel about the collection thus far…but I am sure that there will be more to see this coming …

Whew….what a week…right? If you haven’t heard the crazy news this week about Christian Lacroix…then you must have had your eyes heavily pressed on Hollywood gossip sites..ha! I know it’s late….and you ladies are probably about to pass out! But naturally my brain goes eight-billion miles per hour. I was just having a recent conversation with a good friend of mine, and we got on the discussion of cosmetics. I don’t often wear make-up…and when I usually do, there always has to be some kind of event or specially occasion – that leaves my face a wide open canvas for various colors thanks to some of today’s hottest make-up brands. Click..clack…Ka-Boom – The 80′s has definitely stepped back into the room! For the past (lets say) four years – we’ve ALL seen an increase on retro trends resurfacing on overdrive. So much so that I’ve often taken note on why would anyone ever go to the extreme to pay astronomical amounts of money on such a trend.
