Samira Boon

TGIF ladies…I am just baffled as you are…ha! But it seems as though this SWINE FLU talk has really got everyone up in a knot. Including me for that matter. So much so that I caught myself grilling the living mess out of this one woman on the train, sneezing without covering her damn mouth. Not only did I think of ninja styled tactics to use on her, but I was to the point where I had to say aloud “DAMN”…for simple fact being – that its evident that some folks just don’t have any consideration for others. Especially with this outbreak foolishness that is going around. Anyway, it seems as though our cousins over in Japan have a one up on us. Textile & interior design studio Samira Boon offer more than 15 different masks, which include a pig snout mask and a range of other animal and human face surgical masks. Surgical face masks are said to be a common sight in Japan and other parts of Asia for sufferers of colds and flu. While these masks are usually worn to prevent passing germs and other coodies, people should realize that this situation could be cured with more folks just being clean…don’t you agree? Hence, washing your hands…covering your mouths when sneezing and coughing. Shoot, carry antibacterial wipes & lotions if necessary. Anyway, Japanese government has been advising the general public to gargle, keep their hands washed, try staying away from crowded areas and wear masks. On the other hand, other countries have been far more skeptical about the surgical face mask craze, saying that the use of masks need to be changed every four hours…and still can harbor the virus due to damp breath. Ahh…I see it like this, if this SWINE FLU mess gets out of hands…we might as well sport gas masks. Anyway, check out the rest of the interestingly cute surgical facial masks after the jump!
