Trend News #005 | Chloë Sevigny Would Like To Do A Luxury Collection

Another celeb is showing that she has an itch to do a luxury collection. And this celebrity comes in the form of Chloë Sevigny. Now don’t get me wrong…I love Sevigny…acting wise! But as far as fashion is concerned, I really don’t see the big deal on what she can actually bring to the table. Seriously! I think everyone has had their fair share of celebrity-infused collaborative sets. Well, at least I know that I’ve had my fair share of “such and such by…blah blah blah”. After a while, looking at spur of the moment collaborations becomes very lax. If you guys have been following the scene, you would know that Chloe recently did a collaboration with Opening Ceremony…which really made my eyes bleed. And if you think that I am sounding a tad bit harsh on this Tuesday….well the truth really hurts. If you don’t believe me…please (CLICK HERE) to refresh your memory. Chloe goes on to telling Style.com:
“I’d like to do something with a high-end company,” said Sevigny. “You know, the way that Sofia Coppola did with Louis Vuitton. I thought it was very cool. There were no labels on anything. I like that. I prefer it.”
Hermes is the brand of choice for Sevigny. Ahhh….not only does Chloe posses a regal eye for fashionable brands…but she’s aiming for a brand that is accessible to only a small portion of fashion demographic. Do you think that Chloe has what it takes to do a luxury collection? You may want to check out her stylish technique after the jump before you can decide.

ummm hell no! tee we are on the same page right now. I think that chloe gets too much hype for nothing!
I love chloe when she dresses herself but her opening ceremony line was T’ORRIBLE (that’s terrible and Horrible mixed together…). I vote no.
I think she has her own style which is cool. But she is reaching for wanting to design for Hermes!
honestly i love chloe. she’s on the short side of my list ‘people i need to be friends with’ and i love her personal style to the fullest because it’s all her own, but as far as a lux collection <— NO. her opening ceremony collection was wack. really wack. and really expensive.
and as far as collaborating with Hermes: honestly i think they would be the only brand of that stature to consider her, she could probably get away with it. but i agree. thats reaching. BIG TIME!
