Trend News #008 | The Botox Mom: Buys Her Daughter Botox Injections For Her Birthday

(Clearing my throat)….alright so listen….I am not yet a mother, but I have been sharpening my parental skills in preparation over the years. And I know for a mere fact that plastic surgery (unless stated for important health reasons) will not be given as a gift by and means to my teenage child. When I first got wind of parents buying their daughters breast implants – I thought to myself “Yup, the world is coming to an end”. Let’s be real…we live in a vain world! Where your looks pretty much rule over your intellect. And if anyone tells you otherwise…then they are straight up and down lying! But there are some mothers who don’t mind taking their daughters to the other end of the Botox bottle, and that would be Maggie King – who bought her daughter (Jodie) Botox injections to get rid of the natural wrinkles on her 18 year old daughters forehead. According to DailyMail, Maggie King has already spent £45,000 (around $73,400 USD) on cosmetic procedures for herself. Doctors DO NOT (and I repeat DO NOT) recommend that users under the age of 30 should not use Botox simply because the skin has not sufficiently wrinkled and it could lead to unnecessary loss of facial expression. (Blank stare)….can we really break down what Botox is for a moment? I really think that some of us need to know what Botox really is:
Botox : Also known as Botulinum Toxin Type A – is a drug made from a TOXIN produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It’s the same toxin that causes a life-threatening type of food poisoning called botulism.
And if you are unsure of what Botulism is here is the break down:
Botulism is a rare but serious illness caused by a bacterium called Clostridium botulinum, which occurs in soil. It produces a toxin that affects your nerves. There are three kinds of botulism. Foodborne botulism comes from eating foods contaminated with the toxin. Wounds infected with toxin-producing bacteria result in wound botulism. Infant botulism is caused by consuming the spores of the bacteria, usually from honey. All three forms can be deadly and are medical emergencies.
Symptoms include double vision, blurred vision, drooping eyelids, slurred speech, difficulty swallowing, dry mouth and muscle weakness. Treatment may include antitoxins, intensive medical care or surgery of infected wounds.
Alright so that was my Dr Tee moment….now back to the story! Jodie 18, had been worried about her complexion and admits that she is now addicted to the Botox injections (thanks to her mother of course!). Maggie King 49, has been using Botox for over 11 years and makes no qualms about her daughters Botox habit. Adding more insult to injury, Maggie Kin is planning to buy her daughter a nose job for her 21st birthday and has already taken Jodie for a consultation about a breast enlargement. Right now Jodie, uses her modeling earnings to help pay for her Botox addiction. Jodie tells the Daily Mail:
‘So what if I’m a teenage Botox addict? I can’t think of anything worse than looking old. I’ll always find a way to pay for Botox. Now I’ve started I can’t stop.’
More After The Jump…..
Jodie continues on by saying: ‘My mum’s always looked so glamorous and she uses cosmetic surgery and Botox to keep her looking young. I plan to follow in her footsteps. After having a frozen look for almost 6 months, the Botox naturally begins to wear off and the natural lines begin to form back – leaving the 18 year old ready to set up monthly Botox appointments. Ok, so my question is when does reality finally kick in for plastic surgery addicts? I (personally) think that plastic surgery is gross and should ONLY be done if there is a necessary reason such as; post-breast cancer patients, fatal accidents, or any other life threatening & physically deforming event. Other then that…..this only leaves me to think that folks who are willing to throw cash down on ripping themselves apart are indeed suffering from a serious psychological disorder. Could we say the same for those who have tattoos? I have tons of Tattoos…and don’t have any serious psychological disorders (other than A.D.H.D…and a slight case of Bipolar tendencies) but other then that…does that put me in the same boat as Maggie King? What do you ladies think?

tee this had to be your longest post yet lolz but to answer your question no you are nothing like the botox mom. tattoos are a freedom of your expression and yes you are still making a change its still considered art. now cosmetic surgery is just a complete disgust all around. these same women who go under the knife have to constantly do touch ups because their body parts are completely falling a part. botox is one of those toxic treatments that will do damage in the long run!!! i put my money on it!
