A few months back, I was talking to one of my lovely full figured friends about plus sized garments, and how I totally hate the designs given to the majority of the collections out on the market. Either they feature tons of moo-moo inspired garbs, or hideous muted colors, which I would never dare offer even my worse enemy. Either way, my good friend Sarah Conely & I went on to talk about Gossip’s front woman Beth Ditto and how we totally adore her. Seeing as though half of the time my head is buried deep in the sand…it came to much surprise when I heard rumors about Ditto teaming up with British retail chain store Evans (back in January). Ditto has already become a fashion icon in her own right, donning high end brands with the purest of ease – ignoring the negative reactions of some starch fashionista’s who feel that Beth’s style is a little bit too much to handle. Coming July 9th Ditto’s collection will drop (two weeks after The Gossips new album release), which features a series of 80’s glam-rock inspired pieces. And if you think that this collection is made for the Hollywood emaciated body types…please think again! The collection will be available only for sizes 14-32 (10-24 US sizes). I’ve got to say that this has to be one of the most playful plus-sized collections seen thus far! Ladies how do you feel about the collection so far? Are we loving it?
