Trend Files #043 | Bra Wars – Is Expensive Always The Way To Go?
Hey Ladies….let me just say that I am sorry for being missing for a few days. I have been so busy working behind the scenes on various projects. But I am back now, everything will be back to normal by this weekend! So this week, I had a series of interesting conversation with a few girlfriends of mind – who are avid shoppers of La Perla & Agent Provacateur. And while I still take joy in raiding Victoria Secret sales, the debate lead on to a full blow argument over expensive bras versus cheap bras. Yes….and I am so not kidding! My girlfriends stood by their conviction claiming that their over priced under “boobie holders” last way longer than low priced undergarments. But I had to put down the “iron fist” on that notion! I’ve always believe that the quality of all undergarments are on the same level, no matter the price point. My friends naturally begged to differ also claiming that cheap bra’s are cheap looking and ugly…(blank stare). The only exception ( I can see past) given to higher price points on bras – are for women of a larger bust line. I just can’t see myself slapping down $250 on a lace bra & $150 for a pair of underwear! It’s just not happening! So I chuckled and laughed….thinking that I needed a few opinions to this topic from women outside of my circle. Ladies do you think that expensive is always to the way to go in regards to the bras? Or have women been trained to think so over the past few years? Check out some of my bra picks under $50 before you decide….after the jump of course!

tee girl you must have been busy cause ive been checking everyday and got so worried!!!! i feel you on this post because that la perla trash has no meaning. thongs go for roughly around $125 depending on the style and please please please dont get me started on the bra prices! i sometimes hit up conway!!!
Hey Dee, girl I have been so busy! And there are going to be some new SUPER LIFE changes coming! I will know officially in three weeks and then I will tell ya! And I have been behind the scenes working like a mad woman. YES! I am with you on the VS sale! As long as your “over the shoulder bolder holders” look good and are set at a good price I say cop it!
target has the cuuutest new lingerie line and all under $30.
they sure do! i love me some target and i think everyone does at this point!

I would love to be able to say that I own La Perla; but I would much rather spend money on things you actually see – like jeans, tops… – as opposed to personals worn underneath my clothes. Thus, I frequent Target, Kohl’s, and Victoria’s Secret for my unmentionable purchases!
Had to comment on this one.I can’t go cheap when it comes to my girls.I’m chesty 36 ddd to be exact and my bras be costing what some spend on a fit,lol.When I was younger I use to get the lil cheap bra sets from target,rainbow and such and the support just was not there.So in efforts to keep my girls from droopin to my knees I go for quality/expensive bras.
i have found that marshalls has tons of Calvin Klein bras (my fav)! for under 20$ and Betsey Johnson too!
@ HotChoc87 – I feel you on that…and that was my exception to the rule. For women who do have larger boobies you need to spend extra. But the argument I had with my lady friends was over them splurging on lacy…nothing bra’s that say La Perla. Like who is really going to be looking at your bra? Not even men really care about what the label on your bra says…and if they do…you have to wonder if they are cross dressers.
lol, very very true.But my guy does call me out when my bra and panties don’t match.But he could care less about the label
