Trend Files #044 | 2009 BET AWARDS – Worse Dressed Arrivals
Ok, so I didn’t fully watch the BET Awards show – that’s because I was sucked into the realms of “True Blood”…(love that show). But when I did tune in for a short spell…Jay-Z rocked the mic with his “Death Of The Autotune” song. I did catch a quick glimpse of Soulja Boy…turning his swag on, then a usual (like with any award show) I normally change the channel. And you ladies know that we are more concerned with what some of our favorite celebrities were rocking out on the red carpet. Let’s face it….some times the BET award show brings out the buffoonery. And the one thing that will ALWAYS manage to throw me in for a loop – is to see celebrities (who indeed have some cash to burn) waste away in mortifying ensembles. It’s the kind of thing that makes you want to throw up the “bitch slap hand” on both the stylist & celebrity. oh hell no!!! What is that chick wearing with the missing piece to her dress???????? Monica always has the best hair styles but that outfit has gots to go out the window. Cassie please dont get me started i think her wanna be edgy look has run its course and she looks stupid. Chaka khan always wears the same tired ass outfits. I wonder if she has anything else left in her closet.
Lil’ Momma’s been trippin for a while. What was the dance show on MTV where she wore fitted’s with a hole cut out and a ridiculous long pony hanging out of the hole- EVERY DAMN SHOW! I’m a 80′s baby at heart but that was when I knew she was falling of the map. The girl with the pants missing? WOW. I dont know who she is but if that was her way of trying to steal the spotlight it was way wrong! From the front it looks like she has on victorias secret body wear seemless undies, which are the grandma panties you only wear under work pants when no one will see them. She had the nerve to make them a part of her ensemble??? Everyone cant pull a Lady Gaga off! As far as Cassie, I love people that are bold with theirs and give them credit, I hate to say it, but she looks terrible. Somebody please help this cute little girl come back to reality!
