Trend Files #053 | Always Denim In-VESTED
I’ve always had a thing for denim vests. I mean…it was the hottest thing since “sour power” candy back in the day. And still has managed to become one of those iconic staple pieces….well at least I like to think so. Yeah, we know that fashion is all based on sheer opinion…recycled trends…which can make for a boring combination if you stand around long enough to think about it. But let’s be real…the recession has everyone (including me) making due with what we already have set in our closets. Ah…no more bragging about what you’ve copped during the spur of the moment rage of spending! Who cares if your bag costs over $3,000….and who could give a damn about the next hottest trend….right? WRONG! Realistically, you can do so much even when the Dow Jones continues to kick everyone in the ass. Think “REUSABLE” always…that’s why I think everyone should be denim IN-VESTED! The thing that I love most about denim vests, is that it has to potential of making your ensemble stand out. Whether your rocking your favorite dress, heels, shorts, or whatever you may have on…a finely tapered denim vest can spruce up whatever is covering your back. Check out the details after the jump!

omg dee i know which one you are talking about the one with the studs. i had seen it on miss and i loved it. the leather jacket is expensive as hell tho

yea the one with the studs. i’m going to have to save more than a few pennies to cop a leather jacket from that line. maybe sell an organ or two. geez!

@Dee and @Marcella do u live in NY cause if so you betta go to the leather house on 34th st btwn 6th and 7th and get you a leather bomber for $99.00. As much as I love the leather jackets from Made Me, I can’t shell out $600 for it.

@a the great yes i live in nyc and made me is really trippin seriously. i mean there stuff is alright but not that deep. especially for that price tag. come on this is a recession. i really feel that womens street wear has died since last year. nothing new really and forget the prices on everything everyone is buggin at this point. omg i havent been to that leather spot in a long time.

I have been rocking my denim vest forever and a day. Its a staple in my wardrobe like my denim jacket. I rocked with a maxi dress and my friends were in aaawww… simple piece can do so much
