Ladies & Germs….get your coins ready for Sept 10th. As you know NYC will be wide open for potential buyers…thanks in part to the highly talked about Fashion’s Night Out. Which kicks of with night of retail incentives….for the fashion oppressed. Starting this Wednesday…there will be a public service announcement in regards to next months festivities. Which will be aired on TV, online, and even in NYC Taxi cabs…go figure! Celebrities & designers have all teamed up to help promote Fashion’s Night Out’s latest campaign which will include such notable faces like:
Sarah Jessica Parker, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Carolina Herrera, Zac Posen, Chanel Iman, Alexander Wang, Raquel Zimmermann, Karlie Kloss, Coco Rocha, Daria Werbowy, Tory Burch, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler, Oscar de la Renta, Rachel Roy, Vera Wang, Ashley Olsen, Jessica Stam, Donna Karan, Diane von Furstenberg and Isaac Mizrahi.

While the idea of shopping via JCPenny may kick up some crazy feeling for some…there are those who don’t mind breezing by their local JCP stores. I’ll admit that I barely paid close attention to the I Heart Ronson By Charlotte Ronson collection. I guess you can say that my brain & eyes can only handle but so many diffusion collections. But when taking some time out to investigate the I Heart Ronson collection, my eyes were some what pleased by the looks. Definitely fitting of the juniors scene….and yes it’s affordable which is perfect for the hardcore budget shopper. Prices are pretty decent and start anywhere between $15 for a pair of leggings, upward to $72 dollars for a bomber jacket. The collection as a whole…definitely has that commercial city vibe everyone is lusting over at the prior moment. Currently the I Heart Ronson By Charlotte Ronson collection …

Well, that’s what WWD is saying according last weeks reports. Liberty of London, best known for their floral textiles, fashion, & furniture is in talks with Target about doing a collaborative collection. Reports state that the collection could develop for the spring, which would feature Liberty print – both on clothing and accessories. This would definitely be an interesting look for Target stores…..which would also explain the mysterious influx in prices. You know I had to put my two cents in…..Target already has a strong line up of past collaborations with fashion’s elite. But the question lingers….will Target break in the near future with so many fashion collaborations? Let’s be real for a moment! Teaming up with fashion’s elite costs money! And you know who really pays in the end….the consumer!

GEEZ…I know some folks have been making a big stink when it comes to Rihanna’s ever evolving sense of style. In fact, in the last month or so….many of the headline topics focused on her vamp-styled nails….which unbelievably grew on me. It all began, when she was spotted a few weeks ago rocking shocking apple-red spike nails. Which I thought in her case, where pretty hot. I personally wouldn’t know how to go around rocking ultra-long acrylic nails at this point in my life. Especially with all of the computer work that I do…I’d drive myself totally nuts. But all I do know is that, I’ve stopped getting my nails done since 2005! I was tired of trucking to my favorite nail salon in Brooklyn after working a 8 hour shift.
