Wow, what a difference a few months can make after the fact! If you remember, it didn’t take long for fashion snitches to drop a dime on generating yet again another reason for shoppers to create havoc on their checking accounts. Everyone basked in the glory of Balmainia! With every click of the mouse, and each blink of the eye – you couldn’t help but to repeat the name at least ten times before actually memorizing it – BALMAIN, BALMAIN, BALMAIN! Show stopping indeed, price killing of course, but that didn’t stop shoppers for maxing out their credit cards. If you are a celebrity, you’ve got the right connections, stylists, & money to make all things possible. Rihanna, Beyonce, & Victoria Beckham were at a “neck to neck” race – making weekly rounds in pricey Balmain jackets & accessories. And we can least not forget those wretched Balmain Crystal Sandals – that saturated the scene on a serious note. Pretty much every celebrity watered those $1,600 shoes back into hibernation. Oh yeah, those Jeffery Campbell, Aldo, & Zara spin-off versions picked up the slack throughout the summer. Till this day, I can’t understand the serious commotion behind those damn crystal sandals…they were hideous! That’s just my opinion…you can take it or leave it!
