Trendy Oxford Flats

When TrendDoll began I made it a priority to cover some of the note-worthy trends that have hit the mainstream head on. Last spring, I took on the Oxford Theory and put it into good use. Surprisingly I wasn’t the only one who found Oxfords to be one of the best staple pieces to own. Stylists and fashion enthusiasts have been mixing masculine & feminine pieces for ages now, creating unbelievable looks that have found themselves on & off the catwalks – even on your local streets. With the autumn season almost upon us, this is definitely the time to revive your closet space and really pay attention to one of the best seasonal staple pieces out on the market. The Oxford Flat is practical, functional, and worth the money. So you’re probably asking, “What makes the Oxford Flat such a great shoe?” – right? Well, where should I begin? Naturally, when anyone thinks about the Oxford – we automatically think of geeky styled tap shoes. Designers have taken note of the trend by mixing a variety of styles, textures, and colors to help questionable shoppers in their quest to set themselves apart from the rest. Oxfords have taken a turn for the best, and have given women a chance to furnish their stylist skills by working a pair into casual & dressy ensembles.

I’ve already culminated a list of some of my favorite Oxford picks, and of course some of the styles may be out of reach of our monthly budgets but that doesn’t mean that we can’t stand watch of upcoming sales. Christian Louboutin has already gained massive steam on his Studded Lace-Up Oxford (price: $995) which comes in two colorways of cream and black. And we also can’t resist Louboutin’s Fred Flat in red (price: $995) – this shoe has the appeal of making any ensemble stand out on city streets from coast to coast. But let’s simmer down and be realistic, no one has a thousand dollars to burn right now, so we’ve also got some good Oxford flats priced under $40 for budget shoppers. Steve Madden has made it possible to work the trend for a fraction of a cost, the Steve by Steve Madden Jezebel (price: $39.99) comes in gold metallic leather and also black leather (price: $29.99). Both styles have the advantage of generating a buzz like the high-end brands. So you see, you don’t have to burn up your wallet just to give a pair of Oxford Flats a chance to shine this season. Be sure to take a peek at some of our favorite picks after the jump!

I couldnt agree more I love the look of oxfords with shorts
I really think that oxford flats are coming back into style! Most celebs are starting to wear them again and I can’t wait, I think they are a great look!
I got 3 pairs of oxford for school. I can’t wait to wear them. What’s great about them, they come in different sytles. One pair is all black patent leather, one is black and white patent leather, and the other is all black patent leather with a sling back. Cute, Cute, Cute
