Earlier this year, reports circulated around the scene about Pendleton’s collaboration with Opening Ceremony. And if you know anything about Pendleton, you’d know that the company itself has a 140 year history of creating finely woven 100% pure virgin wool clothing for the masses. Now their latest project includes trademark Native American details & various patterns intertwined with Opening Ceremony’s hipster urban flare. Thus producing a finished collection of jackets, vest, cardigans, and more for both men and women. Now the question is are we loving it? The reason why I ask….is simply because I feel somewhat ambivalent about the entire collection. It really hasnt moved me off of my rocking chair….as a matter of fact I’m totally convinced that I’ve seen these same looks for a more reasonable price available at my local Goodwill store. Either way…while I still scratch my head on the notion of throwing down $500 on a Pendleton woven jacket, I need to know if you ladies are on the same page me. I like to tell everyone that Fall is indeed the time of the season to really show off your fashionable side. Yeah, the summer….we have basic attire to get us through three months of heat. And while this summer came late, and left early….we’re stuck with the burden of figuring out what to wear during these awkward temperatures. No need to worry….fall will officially hit the scene in a few weeks. Which means that you definitely have to option to spice things up on the wardrobe forefront. Think over the knee boots, casual detailed knits, metallic jumpers for your busy nightlife. And yes accessories of all kinds…courtesy of H&M! I can so remember my first DVF piece….it was a canary yellow lycra top! No joke, my mother bought it for me when I was around 15 years old. I had the meanest complex about bright colors. You know that when you’re a teenager…the color black pretty much covers your daily uniform! Funny enough, my mother always told me that color really affects your mood, and displays your inner most personality! So I guess that you can say I was one of those mangled teenagers….on a serious mission to prove something! And while I dread my teenage years…and keep it yucked away in my memory rolodex, I’ve fast forward myself into transition courtesy of Furstenberg of course. As you already know NYFW has managed to keep it’s grip despite the recession, and DVF has given women more reason to keep flipping those bills in her direction. Power packed with a dynamic array of dresses, swimwear, and bold accessories….I wonder if Diane would mind having a personal slave at her whim? I’m definitely feeling what DVF’s 2010 collection has to offer. Talk about being ‘grown & sexy’….I think that notion is seriously an under statement! More views after the jump!

Alright, when it comes straight down to NYFW – many onlookers are looking to rock the hottest looks possible come the designated season. I on the other hand, tend to look for things of the practical pieces to accommodate my wallet and wardrobe. Usually this would include super casual looks. Let me be read for a moment….dresses seldom fit my daily routine…but if it comes from Lacoste, more than likely I’ll show off my Serena William-esque build. I’m also a sucker for colorful polos and prepster-clad pieces donning that perky alligator patch! New York Fashion Week has been kicking off on a serious note. With all of the commotion going on in the last few days, I am still going through next springs collection piece by piece so let’s take a moment to see what Gwen Stefani brought to the forefront last week Thursday. As you know today was the first official day of New York Fashion week. Everyone in the industry has been in a chaotic swirl for the week long events. BCBG was one of the first collections up on the chopping block, and I must say that I am very impressed by next Spring’s collection. Look forward to seeing Grecian draped mini dresses. Abstract cut detailing is setting the stage for next spring. And yes colorful print is something to keep note of. Check out some of the looks that hit the runway earlier today after the jump.
